The first monastery in the city of Pag was built in 1318. At a time when the danger of the Turkish siege was increasing, with the solemn procession of the prince on May 18, 1443, the Pažani moved to the present location. In 1483, the women's Benedictine monastery of the same name was completed. Margarita and the Church of the Annunciation in new Pag as a memory of the monastery and church in old Pag.

A special place among art objects is the reliquary of St. Thorn from 1435, which was brought by Friar Ivan Tutnić to his sister in honor of her vows. Koludrice have always practiced craft and culinary skills in their home. Like the aforementioned lace from Pag to the making of traditional sweets. They also nurture recipes for medieval specialties, where their Pag baškotin stands out as a protected original Croatian product.

Our place and location

With its distinctive appearance, the island of Pag stands out among the many Adriatic islands. Many call it the "island of rock" or "island of the moon" because of its jagged surface.

We could describe the island of Pag as a colorful, diverse, yet peaceful and quiet place that offers its diverse possibilities to everyone, including the community of Koludrica. The long and tumultuous history of Pag is engraved in the numerous monuments of this city and the rich cultural heritage that its inhabitants faithfully preserve. Pag is also the city of many palaces and the home of thousands of years of traditional salt production.
